Edge will automatically stop showing Flash ads

The end of Adobe Flash seems to be approaching. We've been saying it for years, everyone now knows that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, but its removal from the web is constantly delayed. RIP flash

Microsoft seems to have decided to do something about the issue and added a feature to its Edge browser that will automatically stop ads with Flash content.

Thus, any peripheral content (advertisements and random animations) will not be displayed unless the user wishes, who to view the blocked content simply has to click on it.

Microsoft says the Edge update will “significantly reduce power consumption.”

Microsoft claims the feature is smart enough to distinguish between peripheral content and central content, such as videos or games.

Hopefully, the tool won't be too aggressive or buggy and display ads when it blocks videos.
