As expected, Dropbox and Adobe announced today that you can now open PDF files stored in Dropbox using the Adobe Acrobat Reader app for Android devices.

This follows a partnership between Adobe and Dropbox that was announced in October. A few weeks later, the companies announced that iOS devices can open files from Dropbox.
Of course, this feature is mutually beneficial for both companies. On the one hand, it enhances the value of the Adobe Acrobat program, especially for mobile, and on the other hand, it makes Dropbox more familiar to the consumer since they can work with tools they are already familiar with.
Dropbox already has many partnerships for the type of files stored in it, including Microsoft Office Online and Salesforce.
Once you update your Android phone to the latest version of Acrobat Reader, you'll need to connect it to your Dropbox account for the new feature to take effect. The new version of Dropbox for Android will have a pop-up message offering you the opportunity to "do more with your PDFs."
