Apple released iOS 9.3 on Monday, following the official launch of the iPhone SE, but it seems the updated version of the mobile operating system has hit older iPads hard, stuck on the wake-up screen.
Apple has not yet confirmed the issues and the update is still available for download. However, several publications report that some devices are affected by a bug, and immediately after installing the new iOS, owners are unable to activate their operating system.
The problem has been observed on iPad 1, 2, and 3 devices, but it is not yet clear how widespread it is.
Activation does not work over Wi-Fi or through iTunes, although there are users who have managed to repair the damage through iTunes.
There is currently no official solution, but there are “alchemy” rumors circulating from various iOS “experts.” Fans of the platform would do well to wait for an official update from Apple.
