Turkish hackers deface Russian Embassy website

The website of the Russian Embassy in Israel was defaced by Turkish hackers, who continue the cyber war against Russian authorities.russian-turkish hackers war

According to the Russian news portal Sputnik, the incident took place on Saturday, January 16, and the hackers left various Turkish, discreet items on the defaced website (russianembassy.org.il).

Russian authorities took down the website, which recently came back online after IT teams identified and removed its source and tampering.
In a tweet, the Azerbaijani hacking group Börteçine Siber Tim claimed responsibility for the attack.

The cyber war between Turkey and Russia began after Turkey downed a Russian aircraft that passed through its airspace.

The Turks have so far hacked an Instagram account of Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov. They have continued with DDoS attacks against the Central Bank of Russia and the Lokomotiv Moscow football team.
So far, the cyberwar between the two countries has been a one-sided affair, with only the Turks carrying out cyberattacks against the Russian side.
