The AOC monitor company presents a new high‑spec screen with 4K resolution in a compact size to fit any home or professional space. The 4K U2477PWQ 23.6" (59.9 cm) saves space and provides the user with impressive UHD resolution 3840 x 2160 pixels.
The PLS panel offers optimal color uniformity from every viewing angle and utilizes 100% of the sRGB color gamut. With the extremely fast HDMI 2.0, bandwidth up to 18 Gb/s is ensured, allowing seamless 4K video playback, for example when connected to a 4K Blu-ray player, 4K camcorder or 4K gaming console.
The monitor features a timeless high‑aesthetic design, while its embossed and transparent base impresses in any professional or home environment.
Impressive 4K resolution in a practical size
Many users have become accustomed to high-density pixel screens, for example those of smartphones, and thus they want to have the same image quality on their computer monitors. However, most 4K displays incorporate the impressive 4K resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels in large screen sizes that do not necessarily fit in smaller offices.
The new AOC U2477PWQ offers a compact solution for everyone: with a size of 23,6″ the monitor is an ideal choice for users looking for a 4K solution but who do not have a large desk surface.
Additionally, with the new Windows 10 operating system, the detection and configuration of 4K resolutions has been further automated, resulting in the use of 4K becoming easier on monitors of any size or type.
The combination of 4K resolution with the compact screen size offers an even higher pixel density, a fact that ensures an exceptionally sharp image and crystal‑clear reproduction of photos and 4K video. Users no longer need to scroll or shrink the images to view them whole and enjoy every small detail simultaneously.
Professional power panel
The PLS panel offers vivid as well as very accurate color reproduction and features wide viewing angles 178°/178° – horizontally and vertically. The PLS panels are characterized by exceptionally good color uniformity at every viewing angle. The 8-bit color support and the sRGB color gamut complete the high performance of the display. Thus, the U2477PWQ provides vivid images, which makes it ideal for professional users such as designers, photographers and cinematographers who prefer the smaller screen size. Also, demanding home users find a satisfactory solution for editing their personal photos and video. Even if these tasks are time‑consuming, the monitor provides a very useful technology to avoid eye fatigue for the user: Flicker FREE helps reduce the imperceptible, yet still tiring flicker for the eyes.
Timeless design, full equipment
The sleek design of the monitor draws attention in every workspace. With the embossed finish and the transparent base, the monitor combines timelessness with modern aesthetics. Its performance is completed by a plethora of ergonomic options: users can adjust the height, and use the pivot or tilt function of the monitor to find the ideal position for a healthy posture.
Also, the screen is very well equipped with advanced ports. In addition to the extremely fast HDMI 2.0 input that significantly increases the bandwidth up to 18 Gb/s and allows playback of 60 fps 4K video, MHL 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 ports are available. MHL allows users to display content from a smartphone or tablet while the portable device is being charged at the same time.
The AOC U2477PWQ is available since November 2015 with a suggested retail price of 399 €. As with all its monitors, AOC offers a 3-year warranty with on‑site replacement service.
