MMD, a technology company and brand license partner of Philips Monitors, announces a renewed range of consumer PC monitors. With AH-IPS panel technology in the 23-inch version and PLS LED panel in the 24 and 27 inches, the three new E-Line monitors offer vivid, realistic colors and wide viewing angles, with an elegant design for a stylish and fresh presence in any space.
Dazzling design
The latest crop of E-Line monitors continues the tradition of smart design that has made these consumer monitors successful in recent years. Designed with a glossy white finish and a slim, sleek, metal base, the 24 and 27-inch monitors complement your home decor.
The 23-inch display comes in a glossy black finish, with edge-to-edge glass and a narrow bezel for a seamless look. For an even more elegant look, the front bezel of each model is free of touch buttons: all displays feature a discreetly placed EasySelect button on the back for quick adjustment of their settings.
Commenting on the new E-Line series monitors, Artem Khomenko, Product Manager EMEA at Philips Monitors, says,
“When consumers are choosing a display for their living space, appearance really matters. No matter how advanced the technology, the overall look should complement the home’s décor. That means smart, fresh lines and definitely not too many wires. With a clean look and glossy finish, these displays are designed to combine elegance with a fantastic viewing experience.”
Awesome image quality
The 24-inch and 27-inch displays feature PLS LED technology, while the 23-inch model features an AH-IPS panel. Both technologies offer a dazzling viewing experience, with ultra-wide 178-degree viewing angles, making it possible to view the screen even from the sides.
The image is consistently sharp and with vibrant colors, making the displays ideal for both photos, movies or web browsing, as well as for professional applications that require color fidelity and consistent brightness at all times.
In terms of color, the two PLS displays can reproduce 82% of the NTSC color gamut (compared to 72% for conventional displays), meaning they can display a wider range of colors for even more realistic images. All three displays feature 16:9 Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution for rich detail and contrast, and Philips Flicker-free technology for an extremely stable image that keeps your eyes comfortable even after long hours of viewing.
To enhance image quality, the monitors are equipped with Philips Smart technologies for excellent display performance: SmartContrast analyzes the screen content and automatically adjusts the color intensity and backlight for better digital images and videos.
Users can also activate a special Economy mode for optimal viewing of everyday business applications and lower power consumption. SmartImage Lite also analyzes screen content and dynamically enhances contrast, color saturation and image sharpness for unparalleled display performance – all in real time at the touch of a button.
Smartphone connectivity
More and more users are now capturing images and videos on their smartphones. However, playing them back on their tiny screens takes away from the enjoyment of viewing. With the new E-Line series displays, users can connect their mobile phones or other MHL-compatible devices via an MHL cable and watch HD videos come to life with full digital sound on the big screen. In addition, the mobile device is charged at the same time, so it doesn’t run out of battery during viewing.
The new Philips monitors 237E7QDSB, 246E7QDSW and 276E7QDSW will be available in major electronics stores in early November with the following indicative prices: 237E7QDSB €199, 246E7QDSW €209 and 276E7QDSW €289.
