The Document Foundation celebrates five years since the first release of the famous LibreOffice office suite, which is now considered the only contender to Microsoft Office.

Back when OpenOffice.org was still the king of open source office software, some developers wanted to do something different, and on September 28, 2010, they released a new program called LibreOffice.
This program really took off and now it's difficult to think of an office suite for the Linux platform without LibreOffice immediately coming to mind.
These last five years have gone very well for Document Foundation, considering that its office suite has begun to penetrate difficult markets such as city and government administrations.
To celebrate the 5th anniversary, the people at LibreOffice released a book based on the blog post of its creators, which is available in a mini edition (700 pages) and a maxi edition (1,300 pages).
