Tails ,a live operating system that aims to protect your privacy by helping you browse the Internet anonymously, has been upgraded to version 1.5 today.
The project developers state:
“Version 1.5 is a major milestone in the maturity of a free software project. The first public release of Tails was on June 23, 2009, and was called Amnesia. That was almost five years ago.”
New features
- Contains the new Tor Browser 5.0 (based on Firefox 38esr).
- It contains the 32-bit GRUB EFI boot loader. Tails will also run on some tablets with Intel Bay Trail processors, among others.
- The user knows when Tails Installer does not accept a device because it is too small.
