The Free Software Foundation has published a very interesting statement urging everyone to reject Microsoft's recently released Windows 10 and enter the world of free software by installing a Linux distribution.
“The Free Software Foundation calls on everyone to reject Windows 10 and join us in the world of free software. Like all proprietary software, Windows 10 puts those who use it under the control of its owner. Free software like the GNU/Linux operating system treats users on equal terms and gives them control over their digital lives,” the statement reads.
Linux, Mac OS X, Windows, BSD, Solaris: the choice is yours!
In its statement, the Free Software Foundation accuses Microsoft of using “draconian laws” that keep users out of the core Windows operating system, stating that “they are fundamentally insecure and a mockery of privacy, since Windows is an open window on you.”
Computer users from all over the world with the instructions provided by the Free Software Foundation can use a GNU/Linux operating system and not upgrade to Windows 10.
There are too many Linux distributions to choose the right one for you.
As a tip from iGuRu.News, if you choose to install Linux, you should completely get out of the Windows mindset. If you were used to certain applications that you used to run on the Windows platform, it would be a good idea to forget about them after switching to Linux.
In Linux, dig Linux
Of course there is a way to run Windows applications in Linux environments, but it is a waste of time. Linux has thousands of alternative applications that will cover all your needs.
