In Microsoft's new TV commercial, you won't see many Windows 10 features. The company seems to be following a completely different strategy to promote the new product.
The video features children from around the world, with a narrator explaining how their lives will be affected by the operating system change.
“Imagine: These kids won’t have to remember passwords,” the narrator says.
The ad, which was uploaded to YouTube on Sunday, also hints at Microsoft's new approach to Windows, namely a constantly improving service for a one-time operating system.
Near the end, the video shows off two new Windows 10 features: Microsoft's personal assistant Cortana and the new Microsoft Edge browser.
The somewhat low-key ad is in line with what the company promised for the Windows 10 campaign, a human-centric approach.
The ads appear on television networks globally starting Monday.
As for the kids the company uses, the marketing department seems to be hitting below the belt. It aims first at positive consumer sentiment, leaving the appearance of only two of Windows 10's new features for last.
