Microsoft today released a video on YouTube to showcase the first demonstration of its digital assistant Cortana on iOS and Android devices.
The Phone Companion App is expected to be released later this year after the official release of Windows 10.
The Cortana digital assistant on both Android and iOS will be similar to the one used by Windows, which means the database of questions and answers will be the same.
On Android devices, the Phone Companion App is shown in the video working with the operating system to announce reminders and other notifications.
Today's video from the company is just a first look at the upcoming app, which will be available for Android devices in June and for iOS devices later this year. Improvements are expected, of course, across all operating systems the app will support.
