ZTE today unveiled its latest flagship Grand S3 (ZTE Grand S3) with an upgraded display, better camera capabilities, and Eyeprint ID.
The main features of the device include a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, a 5.5-inch full HD display, a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera for quality selfies and video calls. Memory is 3GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The device can get more storage with support for microSD cards up to 64GB.
It's 9.8mm thick, which doesn't make it the thinnest smartphone on the market, but then again, there aren't many devices that offer Eyeprint ID. The new feature lets you unlock your phone by scanning your eyes from the lock screen.
The device is already available for the Chinese market – it has been since mid-January – and the company has said that it will start rolling out globally. Its price has not been revealed, but what we do know is that in China it costs 2999 RMB, which is around $480.
