So, from today the VLC supports all popular systems, such as Windows, Windows Phone, Linux, Mac OS X, iOS and Android.
The stable version of the VLC application is 1.0.1 and is available from:
Google Play
and F-Droid
You can immediately download the application for your Android.
Note that Google Play still has the beta version available for installation, so be careful when installing it.
