Dancing Traffic Lights: No one likes to wait at traffic lights for too long. Pedestrians in particular tend to ignore the time-consuming “Stop” and cross the road, regardless of whether it is allowed or not.
The result is that we have hundreds of pedestrian injuries every year, some of which have tragic consequences.
The truth is, impatience can be deadly. The good news is that there seems to be a very simple solution to this problem: dancing lanterns. Check out the video below to get a better idea of what we're talking about.
These lights are designed to catch people's attention and keep them entertained for as long as it takes, until it's the right time to cross the street. Even better, some of our fellow citizens can have fun dancing with them, while burning a few calories at the same time.
It's basically like taking dance lessons in the middle of the street. Also, if you tell us that people will get bored of seeing some lights doing the same things over and over again, we'll let you know that's not going to happen, because these lights mimic the movements of real people dancing and their movements are recorded on a computer.
