Julian Assange believes that in the near future, the governments of the world will control every aspect of human life, as Orwell mentions in “1984.”
According to the head of WikiLeaks, things are about to get creepy with government officials taking DNA samples at the birth of a child and encoding their identity.
“We will see a situation that has existed in Sweden for more than a decade… everyone has a number, with their DNA taken at birth. The DNA will be encoded in IDs or linked to tax records, and credit accounts,” Assange said during an interview in New York.
Julian Assange is currently living in the Ecuadorian embassy in London, trying to avoid arrest by the police and his extradition to Sweden to face Swedish authorities, who accuse him of sexual abuse.
After the NSA scandal, Assange has said many times that we are heading towards a totalitarian world, where intelligence agencies, such as the NSA and GCHQ, will have the ability to spy on the entire world, given that they have been doubling their capabilities every 18 months.
Over the past year, it has become clear that the surveillance powers held by the NSA alone are vast, and that the agency can spy on almost anyone it wishes without consequences.
Considering that the United States works alongside intelligence agencies from other countries, such as the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia, the number of people spying is even much larger than we imagine.
Let us recall that WikiLeaks is responsible for a large number of scandals in the United States, following the leak of diplomatic documents from Iraq with the help of Chelsea Manning (formerly known as Bradley Manning) from Iraq.
Manning is currently serving a prison sentence after being charged under the Espionage Act. Julian Assange believes that British authorities will not send him to Sweden, as they claim, but to the United States.
