True to its habits, Rinspeed is making an appointment for the upcoming Swiss exhibition where it will present its new concept.
Like every creation of the Swiss brand, the new XChangE, which -obviously- has the Tesla Model S as its starting point, does not focus on what one would call hardcore automotive, but on a human-centered approach to the concept of driving with the aim of... abolishing it and dedicating the time we spend behind the wheel to more creative pursuits.

Thus, the XchangE Concept features autonomous driving technology, meaning it can move without the assistance of its driver, a capability that Rinspeed combined with the transformation of the passenger compartment into a unique living room or workspace depending on each person's requirements, since, now, none of the occupants are involved in driving.
One of the key features is the ability to choose multiple configurations for the cabin seats, including reversing the front seats for... small talk and better visual contact with the person next to or behind, but most importantly, for better viewing of the 32-inch 4K technology screen that the XChangE has in the rear of its interior.
In addition to the various possibilities for folding and turning the seats for more comfort, the steering wheel also follows the same logic, moving not only in the usual way, but also along the dashboard so as not to prevent the driver's seat from turning.
In addition to the monstrous 4K whose functions can be managed with hand movements, the infotainment, by Harman and based on the HTML5 platform, displays its functions on a series of screens located on the dashboard and reaching a total length of 1.2 meters, supporting the needs of work, entertainment and information in relation to driving parameters.
In addition to all kinds of screens, seats, work surfaces-tables, and the coffee maker that the XchangE has in its equipment, the panoramic sunroof of the prototype consists of iridescent plexiglass which, through a special coating, filters the sun's rays, changing its permeability and color to all shades of the rainbow, thereby changing the lighting of the cabin.
The XChangE's exterior lighting fixtures consist of 358 "autonomous" LEDs, while lighting fixtures of this technology are not missing from the interior either, as the center console has another 98. In addition to the above, which embellish the familiar image of the Tesla Model S, the Swiss prototype features 20-inch wheels with Borbet rims painted with a special paint to reflect light.
