The biggest problem for Chrome users is the fact that their settings can be very easily hijacked, making it very simple to install various programs, such as screensavers or games that often contain malicious code.
Google is taking a much more aggressive stance on this problem, giving Chrome users more control over their browser.
From now on, Chrome will ask Windows users if they want to reset their settings via a pop-up. This will happen when the web browser detects that a program is trying to change one of the settings without the explicit permission of its owner.
Clicking the “Reset” button will allow you to apply the original settings. Note that this will disable all extensions, apps, and themes you have installed. If you want to re-enable your extensions after the reset, you can find them in the Chrome menu / More tools/Extensions , or “/ More tools/Extensions .” Perhaps now Chrome developers will be able to fix another major issue, namely the browser’s high CPU and memory usage.
