Last week, hackers from the group TeamBerserk published several documents allegedly stolen from the Intelligence Fusion Centers of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Today, the hackers published another document that proves that their attack is under investigation.
The hacktivist group TeamBerserk managed to gain access to the Kansas Intelligence Fusion Center (KIFC) and they reported to Softpedia that the leaked documents came from there
However, KIFC claims they are confident that the files “were not obtained from any KIFC account or network, but rather through hacking into an employee who had saved them on his computer.”
Additionally, the service reports that the hackers have not managed to obtain any particularly important document, but they are presenting it in such a way to attract attention.”
“They should check their network more carefully” the representatives of the TeamBerserk group said as a response to the KIFC publication.
The hackers claim they have gained access to multiple service centers and stated that the nation's security should be monitored more carefully, so that the rights of Americans are not harmed, emphasizing the fact that other countries, such as China, are seeking to steal information from US networks.
