According to ABC News, several current and former NSA (National Security Agency) employees, inspired by the leaks of Edward Snowden, are beginning to denounce the activities of the secret service. ABC News reports that the information comes from a lawyer working for an organization that protects these people.
“I think the government hopes that the leaks from NSA employees will stop, but the unintended consequence is that more and more whistleblowers are coming through the Government Accountability Project (GAP),” said Jesselyn Radack, director of the National Security and Human Rights organization. “I think courage is contagious, and we’re seeing more and more people from the NSA at our door right after the Snowden revelations.”
Radack lawyeras mentioned above, who has met and continues to be in contact with Snowden, said: “Several people in the intelligence community became interested and wanted to provide more information when classified information about the NSA surveillance programs began to leak to major international newspapers.
Snowden, as we know, has already been accused in the US of espionage, however, it seems that he is the man who started it and opened the bags of Aeolus.
Legal threats will not stop others from coming to us with new information, Radack said.
