The Palestinian group KDSM managed to deface AVG Technologies ' main website , avg.com, in a roundabout way. It is uncertain whether the incident is the result of a breach of AVG's systems or if this is another case of DNS hijacking.
At the time of writing, the website has been restored. However, security expert Graham Cluley managed to take a screenshot of the defaced website.
“We are here to deliver two messages. First: we want to tell you that there is a country called Palestine. This land has been stolen by the Zionists. Don’t you know that? The Palestinian people have the right to live in peace. They must liberate their land and they must release all the prisoners from Israeli prisons. We want peace. Long live Palestine,” the hackers said on the defaced site.
And they added “Second: there is no complete security. We can hit you! Hacked by the KDMS team. Now we can stop the Hacking”.
The latter suggestion appears to be true, as the hackers deleted their Facebook page.
The KDMS team managed to hack the LEASEWEB website over the weekend. The hackers said they had data from the company's systems, but did not present it to prove it.
representatives , however, reported that the attack was the result of a DNS hijack.
