Saints Row IV was released last week, so it's likely that many fans of the game are looking to download the game "cracked" for free from the Internet, or are looking for a Key generator or KeyGen to unlock it. However, experts warn that some hackers are trying to exploit the game's popularity.
Security researchers from ThreatTrack have discovered a number of videos advertising cracks and keygens for the game Saints Row IV. The videos are hosted on YouTube, DailyMotion, Vimeo, Metacafe and promise free downloads of cracks or keygens that will unlock the game.
If a gullible person now clicks on the links in the video description, they are taken to various other websites. Most of them are hosted on Blogspot blogs and host links to malicious files that have been uploaded to file-sharing websites.
Of course, users will never unlock the game. Instead, they provide the clicks that scammers need to earn extra money.
The files that the videos mention are all malicious and come in the form of PDF readers, video players, or even Facebook.
