The research on cybercrime revealed that attacks on businesses cost an average of $1.4 million to $46 million each year. That number continues to grow every year.
The adversary is also becoming more sophisticated with its attacks. The average time to resolve an attack has increased to 24 days, up from 18 days the previous year.
Most worryingly, the number of successful attacks each week doubled between 2010 and 2012, with an average of two successful attacks per week being committed against businesses.
Attacks have become harder, better and faster, and attackers are increasingly powerful. The company says it has no doubt that future research results will continue to show a further increase in cyberattacks, until we start thinking about security differently.
