In October 2011, Adobe reported a fix for a vulnerability that allowed clickjacking to affect the settings of the online Adobe Flash Player. However, experts say the flaw can still be exploited, at least in some Web browsers, to allow a hacker to access a victim's camera and microphone.
According to security researcher Egor Homakov, the exploit he has developed is not yet stable, but it appears to work correctly with Mac versions of Chrome, Chromium on Linux, and possibly other platforms.
As proof, Homakov posted a slideshow of photos of women. In the middle of the screen, there is a play button.
When the play button is pressed, it actually gives the hacker permission to see through your webcam.
Homakov's exploit doesn't store the images, but cybercriminals will likely store your photos and any other information they manage to collect on their servers.
