Apple expected to unveil new Macs and updated iOS at WWDC

Jim Darlymple of The Loop published his own predictions for what we'll see at this year's WWDC yesterday. Darlymple has a good track record of predicting Apple, so perhaps what he said is true.

According to Darlymple, there is no chance that we will see a new iPhone or iPad, however it is very possible that we will see new Mac computers (perhaps MacBook Air since they have started to disappear from the market slowly).

Intel is preparing to release its new generation of processors, Haswell, in early June, so expect the next-generation Macs to use them instead of Ivy Bridge. But besides the MacBook Air, other candidates include the MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and the much-anticipated new Mac Pro.

Darlymple didn't say which Macs Apple will introduce at WWDC, but he did say what we can expect from the new iOS 7, and it's not what most people think.

“I personally don’t think Apple will go as far as some people think,” he said. “The way I see iOS 7 is a modernization of the operating system, both in terms of appearance and functionality, just like they did for so many years with OS X.”

As for OS X 10.9, Darlymple said he's looking forward to seeing what Apple has done, because users expect deep integration of all its services for it, and he predicts that OS X will offer much more than iCloud.
