While Samsung is trying to promote the new Galaxy S 4 in global markets, some people on the XDA-Developers Forum seem to be very busy.
For those users who would like to root their devices from day one, a solution is already available, as long as they purchase the Qualcomm-based flavor.
A root exploit has been discovered for the smartphone before it was even released. It is none other than the root exploit that was recently released for Motorola devices.
According to a post on the XDA-Developers Forum, the tool should work without any issues for models , but it could also be compatible with Snapdragon Galaxy S4 sold in other countries besides the US.
Those who wish to root their device will need to follow a few simple steps, after first downloading the necessary files.
– Unzip the zip.
– If you are using Windows, make sure you have installed the latest USB drivers available for your phone.
– Enable USB Debugging on your device.
– Connect your device to your computer via USB.
– If you are using Windows, run “. Run.bat” If you are using Linux or OS X, open a terminal and run “/run.sh.
– Accept the ADB connection from your computer to your device.
