Vodafone UK turns off transmitter for a falcon

Thanks to a peregrine falcon's nest , Vodafone has stopped operating a antenna tower located in Southampton , United Kingdom .

When something went wrong with the signal , the technicians found that there was nothing they could do to fix the problem , once they saw the hawk on top of the antenna. If they tried to do anything, they would disturb the peace of the peregrine .

Falcon

The transmitter has been deactivated since April 9, and technicians are waiting for June, when the falcon is expected to leave its nest.

Vodafone apologized for any inconvenience the incident may have caused and said it was proud to have protected the bird .

Forthe bird's safety, the exact location of the nest was not revealed to the public.

We are very curious what would happen if something like this happened in Greece?
