Apple's new spaceship-like headquarters are simply stunning. Although the "mothership" is a year late, Apple loves its design so much that it wants the architectural firm that designed it to redesign the Apple Stores as well.
Architectural firm Foster + Partners has just signed a deal with Apple to work on new designs for some of its retail stores.
Some of the most famous Apple Stores, such as those on Fifth Ave and Regent Street, have been designed by Foster + Partners' biggest rival, 8 Inc. So it's not unlikely that we'll see some redesign in them as well, and they're already quite impressive.
No further information has been given, but we hope the project will go more smoothly than the Apple campus, because it was originally supposed to be finished in 2015 and cost 3 billion dollars, but it ended up costing 5 billion dollars and will be ready in 2016.
