We all know that Windows 8 comes with Windows Defender, an anti-virus tool by default, but as we have mentioned in earlier posts, Microsoft's security application is not as reliable as it claims to be at least.
According to new data from tests conducted by AV-Test for the Windows 8 platform analyzing the protection, performance and reliability of 26 different security applications, Bitdefender Internet Security 2013 was found to be the most secure software.
The Bitdefender application scored 17 points, while BullGuard's security product took second place with 16.5 points. Followed by Kaspersky with 16. Windows Defender, Microsoft's application, got only 11.5 reliability points, but this time managed to get certification from AV-Test.
Fortinet and Symantec managed to take first place in enterprise software security tests with 16.5 points, while Microsoft's System Center Endpoint Protection managed to get only 12.5 points.
