As part of its established reporting on working conditions in its suppliers' factories, Apple today published a new report on its special Labor and Human Rights for January 2013.
Specifically, the company now monitors over 1 million employees in its various supplier factories and reports a 99 percent compliance rate for a 60-hour workweek! We also recall that Foxconn recently stopped hiring because a large number of workers returned to work from the Chinese New Year holiday.

Apple has been heavily criticized in recent years for the working conditions at its suppliers' factories. The press, taking advantage of the company's popularity and appealing to emotion, largely misinterprets the situations and distracts from the real causes of the problem.
The truth, which few choose to mention, is that Apple has developed a significant means of communicating about the existing problems in factories in China by taking its fair share of responsibility and imposing the necessary structural measures. It is no coincidence that Apple is the only technology company in the world to offer this kind of information about working conditions in suppliers' factories.
In detail, you will find all the details on Apple's special page here.
