The technological and cultural maturity that the web 2.0 era has brought makes the question of user participation in the production of news and information more relevant than ever. Research interest is now focused on the proposed removal of the separation between sender and receiver, producer and audience, journalist and user, with the ultimate goal of user participation in the journalistic process.
In the context of a postdoctoral program, the Department of Journalism and Media of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki requests the assistance of readers to conduct research on the topic: "Participatory Journalism: Uses and Satisfactions of Users for the Collection, Production and Distribution of News, Information and Opinions".
