As you may already know, Amazon recently removed its app from Windows Phone, and while the company hasn't said anything about a possible comeback for Windows 10, users running that version of the operating system on their computers can now download a revised client. The Amazon app is unfortunately not available for mobile.
The downside is that the application is so simple that it's hard to find a reason to use it, as it provides exactly the same features as the web browser version.
The difference is that the Westminster program you're using empowers developers to create apps that take advantage of Windows 10 features, such as live tiles and Cortana.
The only option available in the app is that it lets you change your country so you can shop from the local version of Amazon, but that's where the app's settings end.
However, the app description promises a lot more:
"The Amazon app lets you quickly shop, search, compare prices, read reviews, and share products with friends using a simple yet elegant interface. Shop just like you do online."
Hopefully, this is just the beginning, and that not only will the company release more updated versions for PCs, but that it will also bring the app to Windows Phones.
