The Internet of Things was pervasive in almost every presentation at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this week, and just walking around, we could say that almost everyone would like at least one such gadget...
So we decided to list nine of the worst devices that will be coming to a store near you (or hopefully not) this year.

Here are the top 9 worst devices:
McAfee for Android Wear
Intel created a special McAfee for your Android Wear watch so you can be aware of the vulnerabilities that lie on your wrist….
Smart tape measure

If you woke up this morning and thought about how much you miss a Bluetooth-enabled tape measure, then it's your lucky day! You just found it!

This Korean device is a good example of Internet of Things technology that doesn't provide alternatives... if its battery dies... you stop counting! What did you think?
The “track everything your child says” wearable

I think we live in an era where the desire to monitor our children is increasing... but this is particularly creepy... don't you think? You can give this cute bracelet to your child and watch everything he says... it syncs with your phone via Bluetooth.
Fitbit for dogs

If your dog is overweight and you don't know how to make him lose his extra pounds before going to the beach... then the solution has been found for you! And your dog! Get the Petfit tracker so you can track your loyal friend's steps, without him being able to trick you! Fun note: it is not waterproof... so stay away from fountains because if it gets wet you will no longer be able to track it! 😉

These Google Glass for sports

The Intel Recon smart glasses that made their debut at MWC were presented as a great way to get a heads-up display while you're running or cycling, but they're more like a poor man's Google Glass. This wearable has a tiny, low-resolution screen in the bottom right corner with your stats... as if a smartwatch wasn't enough... What can you say.
Samsung laggy internet fridge

At the Samsung hub at MWC, there was an internet-enabled refrigerator, with an oversized 21.5-inch screen.
The concept of shopping from my fridge door doesn't really appear anywhere, and the device itself seems incredibly laggy with useless scrolling and unresponsive taps. Cool idea, but why didn't they just make a magnetic tablet that sticks to the door?
It's still in pre-production, so the lag will likely be fixed before it's released. At least we hope so!

Smart face mask

This mask has a built-in microphone, ambient lights, “brain entrainment” technology, and measures your temperature. It’s not really clear if this will help you sleep better, nor am I sure you want to put Bluetooth so close to your brain for so long… I’m really speechless!
