The transfer of Major General Manolis Sfakianakis from the Cybercrime Directorate to the human resources department of the Hellenic Police headquarters was finally revoked on Thursday.
Mr. Sfakianakis submitted an appeal to the Police Headquarters against his transfer, requesting its cancellation, in accordance with article 18 of Presidential Decree 100/2003 of the relevant regulation.
Mr. Sfakianakis' transfer from the Cybercrime Directorate was announced on Wednesday night and caused reactions from many quarters. He was reportedly unhappy with his transfer, as he has associated his name with the Cybercrime Directorate.
