Are you tired of seeing ads in your favorite BitTorrent client? If you use uTorrent you can now eliminate the ads with a small annual subscription! You could of course use another BitTorrent client but it is very likely that you are accustomed to uTorrent!
"We've spent a lot of time testing new ways we can improve uTorrent for users while also financially supporting the amazing team who work every day to make the service available for free to millions of people around the world," BitTorrent wrote in a blog post.
“We are pleased to announce the Ad-Free uTorrent with a $4.95 yearly subscription! This gives users the ability to avoid all ads in the client. It’s exciting for us because it lets users avoid these ads at 25% of the price it used to be, almost $5 a year instead of $20.”
Of course this move is not that revolutionary since BitTorrent offers an Ad-Free subscription to uTorrent since November 2014. However, the $20 that this subscription was offered did not interest users much who simply wanted to get rid of ads and were not interested in the additional features that the Pro service offered.
Obviously a small annual subscription of $5 is more affordable and we are curious to see how many registrations will be made. Already the popular service has over 100 million downloads on all platforms where it is available. However, BitTorrent failed to report how many users have paid so far for this service.
