Microsoft has just announced that a new updated version of its personal digital assistant for the iOS platform is now available for download. Since its release last year, Cortana for iOS has only received a few updates that have added significant new features.
In fact, this is the first major update for the iOS app, so its users should be excited about what's included in the latest version.
First of all, Microsoft has added support for the 3D Touch menu to both the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S+. This feature was expected given that almost all major developers have already added 3D Touch support to their apps.
Another major improvement included in the latest update is the addition of a new monthly reminder, as well as improved renewal mechanics for this option.
Microsoft claims that Cortana for iOS now offers a better charging for low-speed and unstable network conditions.
The company has also added Today View. Last but not least, the developers say that the update will bring more stable voice interaction.
Users can also take advantage of the Cortana Notebook to view, edit, and manage their interests. Make sure to ask Cortana anything and have some fun.
Microsoft is likely to continue updating both Android and iOS, so we expect new features and improvements for the digital assistant on these platforms.
If you haven't tried Microsoft's personal digital assistant yet, you can now download Cortana for iOS for free via the App Store.
