Google ,after revealing some Windows bugs thatled to its dispute with Microsoft, continues to “expose” companies and this time its target is Apple. This time through Project Zero, Google announced that it found three security holes (zero-day) in the Mac OS X operating system.
These security vulnerabilities were detected on October 20, 21 and 23, 2014, and although Apple was informed, it did not release updates to correct the situation, which is why (as in the case of Microsoft) Google decided to make them public.
This move by Google has annoyed Apple, which does not want to see its operating system tarnish its good image , especially in the area of security, however these security vulnerabilities are low-risk.
Project Zero is a Google program that aims to detect various bugs and security vulnerabilities in popular applications and operating systems and then inform companies so that they can proceed with their repair within 90 days.
Once this period has passed and the bugs have not been fixed or the company involved has not taken a position, Google publishes the results for the security vulnerabilities.
