NATO and MPAA against piracy with GOOGLE GLASS

Google Glass ban

Moviegoers will have to take off their Google Glass before entering the theaters to watch the movie they want.

The National Association of Theater Owners (NATO!!!) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) announced that they will consider these devices as a means of recording and copying films and will take it as a reason to expel the person wearing them from the theater if they do not remove and hide them. This announcement was incorporated into the anti-piracy policy

Film companies fear that Google Glass wearers will take advantage of the video recording capability and hope that cinema owners will take appropriate measures against this.

For most people, this is of course not a problem, as they take off their glasses before entering the room. The problem is for those who have added special lenses to Google Glass, for example for myopia, who must also have a second pair of regular glasses with them.

This measure has been implemented in many classrooms, and there was even an incident in Ohio where a man was taken to the department for wearing his Google Glass in the classroom.
