Ad-free YouTube coming next week

Do you watch YouTube a lot? You're probably tired of ads. Now there's a simple way to skip them—by paying, of course.

The newly announced service, YouTube Red, allows YouTube to upgrade their plan for $10 per month ($13 for iOS) to remove annoying ads from videos they watch. Members will also be able to save videos for offline viewing or to listen to a music video or have it play in the background while using other apps.

Ad-free YouTube coming next week

The service launches on October 28th, and includes access to YouTube Music, ad-free, a new app that offers a playlist similar to Pandora or Spotify. YouTube Red will also give access to Google Play Music, which lets users store and listen to their own tracks online (existing subscribers to that service will also get free access to Red). YouTube Red will replace the long-running YouTube Music Key.

Finally, subscribers will have access next year to some original shows and movies, such as a zombie survival reality show and another with scary real-life situations based on games, from a top YouTuber, PewDiePie.

YouTube without ads does not include any different features in its operation and will continue to be used as usual. You can sign up for YouTube Red here , which starts on October 28th.
