SanDisk introduces the smallest 1TB USB-C drive in history

If you ask SanDisk, size, yes, it matters! The company is trying to combine the largest storage capacity with the smallest flash driver.

At this year's CES in Las Vegas, SanDisk announced a brand new USB Type-C designed to hold up to 1TB of data.

So far, the record for the largest flash drive is held by Kingston as its device has already reached 2TB, but SanDisk is the one that has packed 1TB into a tiny device.SanDisk

The company does not provide further information about the specifications such as read and write speeds but stated that we are still at the beginning so soon we will have more details. The only certainty is that it will considerably burden the pocket of anyone who wishes to acquire it.

Because SanDisk is a fan of the smallest and best approach, it recently presented the world's smallest 256GB USB 3.1 flash drive. This particular model is included in the already available SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 series and will be released to the market later this year, while the availability details will be released close to the launch date.

Our company gave us some data that reveals the file capacity capability on such a large drive, saying that there is enough storage space for 14,000 photos, 10 hours of Full HD video, 16,000 songs and 64GB for other files.

Judging from the specifications of the other flash drives, the new device should offer maximum read speeds of 130 MB/s. SanDisk reports that the 256GB drive will cost $149.99, just $30 more than the 128GB version announced earlier.
