Sometimes companies just need to give a famous name to a product to boost sales. He worked for Spectrum Brands and its George Foreman Grill. And now he could work for Summit CE Group and its line of dashcams.
At the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next month in Las Vegas, the company will introduce its new Car and Driver-branded dashcams.

Dashcams ofcool features, including: 1080p recording, loop recording, accident/motion detection, auto power on/off, parking mode, Wide Dynamic Range night vision, GPS logger, lane departure warning, speed limit alert, WiFi, 3G, and Android touchscreen software.
Most dashcams don't perform at their best at times, but at some point – or, let's be honest, quite often in Russia – they'll record something wild. Chances are, you won't be able to record much more than your daily commute or the one time a curious cat walked in front of your car.
Despite their dubious utility, these new C and D-branded cameras won't be too expensive, starting at $39 and going up to $299. That means even if you don't manage to capture anything worth uploading to YouTube, you won't have spent a huge amount of money for nothing.
