Images for a beta version of Apple Music's new Android app leaked this week, offering a glimpse of what the app might look like when it launches in the coming weeks.
The Apple Music app for Android includes support for browsing and playing the full Apple Music catalog, and Apple has even added some new features that aren't supported on iOS, like allowing Android users to change the size of the cache used to store offline music.
The website 9to5 Mac explains a little more about the design of the new Apple Music for Android:
By adapting its software for Android, Apple has taken a slightly different approach than Google's own iOS apps. While Google's apps try to emulate the company, even going so far as to include custom-made toggles and other elements, Apple relies on UI elements built into Android rather than trying to recreate their iOS versions. The main navigation has even been moved from iOS and replaced with a more Android-friendly slide-out sidebar.
Unfortunately, Apple has yet to announce an official launch date for the new Apple Music Android app, but the company has previously said it will be available in the fall of 2015. That said, you can expect it to launch in the coming weeks. As soon as it does or Apple announces more about the confirmed launch date, we'll keep you posted as always.
