Samsung's Z3 Tizen device may come with the game pre-installed
Samsung is taking a path that most device manufacturers have avoided until now. The Korean tech giant has developed its own operating system called Tizen OS, which currently powers the Z1 smartphone.
The device, which launched in January 2015, has reportedly sold over a million units since then. But those who have owned the device speak of a poor smartphone experience. The operating system has very few apps and has many quirks that can seem really strange (for example, the home pages don't show apps, only widgets), especially if you're used to Android.
Since its inception, Samsung has struggled to convince developers that Tizen is worth developing, and the company could make some progress in that direction.
A Samsung official in America just announced on his Twitter page that Rovio, maker of the popular Angry Birds game, has confirmed that the game will soon be available for the platform.
Tizen will soon get a very popular app
Angry Birds (various versions of it) are already available for Android and iOS, so it would be very exciting to see it land on Tizen. However, we don't know the exact timeline for when that will happen. We can only assume that the game will be available when Samsung releases its next-gen Z3 Tizen-powered smartphone to the public.
According to reports online, the Z3 will be launched in Russia sometime this year, but it looks like other European countries will get it as well. The list includes countries like Germany, France, Poland, and the United Kingdom, with others likely to be added at a later date.
If you're not familiar with the story, the Samsung Z3 will be a nice upgrade over the previous Z1. First of all, it will feature Tizen 3.0, and who knows, maybe even Angry Birds pre-installed. It will also feature a 5-inch super AMOLED touchscreen that supports HD (720p) resolution and a pretty decent 2,600 mAh battery.
The Samsung Z3 is said to have a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card. On the back, the phone will feature an 8MP camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while on the front, there will be a 5MP camera.
