Samsung & MasterCard partner for Samsung Pay in Europe

Samsung and MasterCard partner on Samsung Pay in Europe – Samsung Pay will launch in the US and South Korea soon, a new mobile payment service expected to launch in September.

Samsung is working on Samsung Pay in South Korea right now , and now we have some details about Samsung's plans for the service in Europe as well.

Samsung & MasterCard are collaborating for Samsung Pay in Europe

MasterCard announced that they have partnered with Samsung for the launch of the mobile payment system in Europe.

“Samsung Pay is pleased to join forces with MasterCard to deliver a simple and secure mobile payment experience enabled for broader merchant acceptance for MasterCard cardholders and issuers in Europe,” said Injong Rhee, EVP of Samsung Electronics, General Manager of Samsung Pay. “Both organizations are committed to creating groundbreaking innovations that promise a true mobile wallet.”

“With the ongoing global growth and dependence on devices and mobiles, we are pleased to expand our relationship with Samsung by extending the reach of Samsung RAY and MDEs to cardholders in Europe. Europeans are pioneers in adopting new ways to shop, purchase and make a payment.

So far there is no information on when Samsung will launch the Samsung RAY in Europe, as soon as we have more information, we will inform you.
