Following the appeal to Adobe by the new head of Facebook , Alex Stamos , to finally set a "death" date for the insecure Flash player , Mozilla has decided to adopt drastic measures in Firefox , to protect its users from the dangers that lurk.

It is time for Adobe to announce the end-of-life date for Flash and to ask the browsers to set killbits on the same day.
If you use Firefox to browse the Internet regardless of which version it is, desktop or mobile, you may have already noticed that Firefox blocks it by default and offers the user the option to activate the player only if they deem it necessary. This does not completely block Flash from websites, but it informs users of the risks that lurk, leaving them to choose for themselves whether they wish to continue or not.
We may have heard about the upcoming “end” of Flash player, already from Steve Jobs and Apple, while in 2011 a movement was created to abolish it, the so-called “Occupy Flash”. It should also be noted that Adobe has stopped supporting the mobile version due to the “expulsion” of Flash from devices with the Android.
The last major blow to Flash was Google 's decision to default to the HTML5 player on its YouTube service , and now, after the pressure it receives from Facebook , the much-discussed end will certainly not be long in coming...
