Wanted by FBI: Cyber's Most Wanted list updated – The most wanted on the list are: The mastermind of the Zeus trojan, car scams, an identity thief, a malvertiser, and a keylogger software merchant have entered the FBI's "Wall of Fame.".
The feds are offering up to $4,200,000 if you contribute to their arrest or conviction.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation has updated its “Cyber Most Wanted” list with new individuals (5 new hackers) who were involved in new violations. The “new” hackers were added to the list that already contains those allegedly responsible for espionage against American interests. As you can see, most of them are military personnel from China.
At the top of the list:
At the top of the Cyber Most Wanted list is the alleged mastermind of the Zeus trojan, Evgeniy Mikhailovich Bogachev, also known online as “lucky12345” or “Slavik.” The reward for his capture is as high as $3 million.
The US has been hunting the Russian since 2009, and the information they have is that he is somewhere in the Black Sea.
In second place:
Nicolae Popescu has a $1 million bounty on his head for his role in a car fraud scheme involving fake car sales listings. The Romanian could be anywhere in Europe.
In third place is Alexsey Belan, with a $100,000 bounty. He is wanted for hacking into three anonymous US companies. He then tried to sell millions of usernames and passwords on the black market.
Bagging Peteris Sahurovs is fourth on the list and has a bounty of $50,000.
He is accused of scams with fake antivirus software that blackmailed those who installed it on their computers.
Carlos Enrique Perez-Melara will also be on the list for $50,000.
Melara is accused of distributing a keylogger. Melara, a resident of El Salvador, developed the keylogger in San Diego.
