YouTube has announced that it will launch a new subscription service later this year for users of the site who don't want to see ads while browsing the site. While this is good news for those who find ads annoying , it's very bad news for users who want to upload their videos to the popular site.
According to Bloomberg, the new subscription service will cost about $10 per month for users who want to get rid of ads, but those who want to upload content have no choice but to accept the new terms, otherwise the content they upload will be set to private.
The letter sent by YouTube to those who upload content to the site states that, under the new service, they will be entitled to a portion of this subscription from each user who views videos . For each subscriber who views a video, a percentage of their monthly subscription will go to the content creator.
Although it is not known when the new subscription service will take effect, it is estimated that from June onwards, all those who are tired of pre-roll videos and banners will finally be able to get rid of them, although it is doubtful whether anyone will want to pay $10 a month for this reason.
