The Prosecutor's Office ordered Google and Twitter to provide the details of those who insulted Giakoumakis. Additional prosecution of those who made hateful comments on the Internet against Vangelis Giakoumakis was brought by the Athens First Instance Prosecutor's Office.
Additional criminal prosecution was brought for the comments posted on a website against Evangelos Giakoumakis for incitement to commit a misdemeanor or felony committed out of hatred, i.e. with the aggravating circumstance of the anti-racism law.
At the same time, the prosecutor's office ordered the companies "GOOGLE INC" and "TWITTER" to provide "immediately all necessary information to find the electronic traces of the perpetrators, going beyond any formalistic approach to the case that may lead not only to obstacles to its clarification but also to similar acts of violence and manifestations of hatred."
