There are several ways to teach kids computer science and programming online. Starting today, you can add CS first curriculum.
It is a free program that contains a variety of topics for all children's interests.
CS First isn't new (the program started last year), but it operated as a program for educators and community volunteers who wanted to plan computer science clubs for kids ages 9 to 14. That's why you might not have heard of it until now.
The courses include topics such as: Music & Audio (create a music video and develop an interactive music screen), Fashion and Design for developing fashion apps, Storytelling for creating interactive stories, and Game Design for your kids to learn how to design and program a game. There are several more courses. If you are interested, you can find them for free on the project page.
CS First provides free, easy-to-use computer science (CS) enrichment materials that target and engage a diverse student population.
As you can see in the company's explanation above, the courses are not only aimed at learning programming, but include a wide range of knowledge from computer science (CS). All materials (videos, programming in Scratch, and lesson plans) are available for free online, so all parents and children can immediately start lessons at home.
