Microsoft 's Surface Pro appears to be experiencing an issue that causes the device to enter hibernation mode, especially when going into sleep mode.
The Surface Pro was released by Microsoft last month as a response to Apple's iPad Pro and has been officially available to customers since mid-June.
Most likely, the issues users are facing can be fixed with a firmware update, but Microsoft has yet to acknowledge the problem despite the growing number of complaints on Reddit and the company's Community Forums.
Although there has been no official solution yet, a user whose Surface Pro was affected by the issue claims that he contacted the company's support engineers and they suggested a full reset regarding the specific error.
"I called Microsoft and they suggested I do a full factory reset. I was a bit disappointed that there was no other solution to fix the problem. After the factory reset, the error has not reappeared. I didn't have to touch the sleep screen at all. My computer only sleeps when I don't touch my computer. I tried watching a movie to check if the sleep screen would activate and it didn't. So far so good," the user explained.
It should be noted that such problems are not completely unexpected on new generation devices that have upgraded hardware, but in any case, companies must recognize the problem in a timely manner in order to offer their customers the best possible experience.
Although Microsoft has not publicly released a solution yet, it is certainly aware of the bug and will provide the necessary update.
