Google is seriously considering the threat posed by the Apple Watch and will soon begin an effort to bring Android Wear support to the iPhone. Sources say that the company is preparing an Android Wear app for iOS that will be announced at the Google I/O event in May.
So what would you think of the idea of the Moto 360 and other Android smartwatches being compatible with the iPhone?
It would be Google's best counterattack to the Apple Watch - to give millions of iOS users the ability to buy cheaper alternatives.
In fact, the company's product manager Jeff Chang revealed last October that Google is showing great interest in creating a platform compatible with the iPhone.
So, according to what the French site 01net claims, this will soon become a reality.
The report doesn't give much information and simply emphasizes that the announcement will be made at Google's scheduled developer conference in May, always judging by what sales the Apple Watch has achieved up to that time.
What we should expect, of course, is that Android Wear for iOS won't be as flexible as it is on Android, at least not at first. So we may have services similar to those found on Pebble, but there will also be many restrictions from Apple.
